"You are the queen of DonorsChoose!" declared my student as we were unboxing our new computer mice by our green screen studio equipment.
I caught the technology bug that first year teaching in my 4th Grade classroom in Granite District.  That year (1995) I presented "Teaching in a One Computer Classroom" at the UCET conference.  In the 23 years since then, I've moved to 5th Grade (Davis District), earned my Masters Degree in Ed Studies, trained teachers in Utah and Michigan for the Intel Teach to the Future Program as both a District Master Teacher and National Senior Trainer, have done consulting work and training for both Utah Compose and Western Governors University, presented in district and  state conferences on various technology topics including the use of virtual worlds in education, UTIPS, IXL, and MobyMax.  I'm proud to have been the first teacher from Utah participating in the Atlantis Remixed project (a 3-D Virtual world for teachers and their students run by Dr. Sasha Barab at  Arizona State University). Having fallen in love with teaching with technology I needed to fill the gap between what I wanted to do and the resources I had to do that with.  I had to BUILD MY EMPIRE!  I did some work with grants, but found LOTS of success with DonorsChoose ($15,850.66 for just MY classroom kind of success).  So much success, in fact, that DonorsChoose asked me to be an Ambassador and help other teachers across the United States.  I'm pleased to say I've helped bring tens of thousands of dollars to the amazing teachers and schools that I have worked with so far.  I'd love to help YOU!  My ambassador link is:
