Student Blogs
What if writing for class was as cool as checking Facebook? Blogging makes writing more interactive and interesting, while capitalizing on the intrinsic motivation of Blogging-Social Media. Through a class blog, students can "publish" their writing and receive feedback, questions and encouragement from each other. Come and see how Kidblogs & Edublogs have helped my students produce more writing than ever before.

Using Authentic NASA Data in the Classroom
One of the best things about NASA is that YOU own the data. As a federal agency, all NASA sponsored scientific data is made publicly available on the Internet. The trick is knowing where to find it and how to use it. In this session, we will look at some of the NASA online data nodes, the types and formats of data available, where to find free software that can read the data, and how to use this data to meet national science, math, and technology standards in your classroom. You'll also learn about NASA programs that allow you and your students to become actual scientists to collect and analyze your own data.
