The session will be a demonstration and discussion of two software programs (GradeCam and Mastery Connect) that score formative and summative assessments and track student mastery. Creation, scoring, and reporting of assessments will be discussed with an emphasis on tying the results to mastery of Utah Core Standards. Scoring of assessments that include matching, multiple choice, and short answer questions will be discussed. (The short answer questions are still teacher scored, but combining all components of a test into the single score will be presented.) Having your computer show yourself, your students, their parents, and your administrators where mastery has occurred and where intervention is necessary is a beautiful thing.
