Flipped Classroom: Why I Love It, How I Do It

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Instead of all direct instruction lessons occurring in the classroom and worksheets being done for homework, the opposite occurs in the flipped classroom. The flipped classroom changes the classroom from a teacher centered, lecture driven classroom to a discussion driven, work session with individual student needs being the focus. The flipped classroom uses technology to deliver content in a format where students can work individually, and at their own pace. Students then work collaboratively on activities with teacher guidance. We use the flipped lessons as a springboard into deeper discussion, investigations, and activities. Come see how I use it in my classroom and why my team and our students love it.
