First Lego League - Lego Robotics

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

First Lego League excites students about science and technology. They are tasked to build an autonomous robot that can complete missions. They also must create an innovative solution to a real world project relating to a theme. Six elementary schools in the Granite School District participated in this program this year. All but one of these schools had never done it before. After hours of work and real world lessons in "gracious professionalism" and "coopertition", students learned that the journey is more important than the destination and that failure can lead to success. They learned the excitement of science and technology and the importance of working together. Students have brought their robots to show what they can do and explain the frustrating, yet fulfilling process it took to get the robot to do what they wanted.

I am a library media technology specialist. I love books and technology so naturally Maker Space was the perfect fit for me. I love working with robots and learning new things.
