In this session, participants will explore innovative strategies for improving student writing skills using Utah Write, an online formative writing assessment tool available for Utah teachers and students. Utah Write utilizes award-winning automated essay scoring technologies to score student writing and provide feedback for improvements. A demonstration of Utah Write will be provided, including the real-time scoring of an essay, formative feedback tools, interactive writing tutorials, best practices in the classroom, and progress reports.
